"This is an extremely interesting and somewhat shocking narrative. Many readers won't know what to expect from a job in corrections, and your essay has the potential to be quite an eye-opener.

The suicide of one of the inmates is obviously a traumatic event that had a significant impact on you, yet it is introduced in an almost offhand manner. You might consider describing the emotions you felt during the incidents you relate in order to give your reader some further insight into their impact on you.

It's not immediately clear what your job is or why you're interacting with the prison system. Readers may also be confused by the use of the ambiguous term "pod."

There are a handful of errors such as incorrect words, misspellings, issues with verb tense, and awkward sentences that should be addressed."
