Jenn's feedback:
"Your task of writing about "12 Years a Slave" is well executed. Your essay has a clear purpose and you have a good understanding of the subject matter. You provide a significant amount of detail to support all of your examples and your thoughts and ideas are well developed. You have a strong introduction that compels the reader to continue on and a conclusion the wraps the paper up nicely. You also have smooth transitions between sentences and paragraphs. You use the phrase "This could be" a lot. Consider rewording some of these instances to reduce repetition. Your essay is neat and consistently formatted, allowing it to be easily read. There are a minor number of grammar and punctuation issues. I feel as if a lot of these could be resolved by reading it out loud to yourself and seeing where there might be unnecessary words or the word order could be improved."
