Jenn's feedback:
"Many aspects of this paper are off to an excellent start. For the most part, the document is very neatly formatted. This is important for the sake of reading comprehension and cohesion. There is a consistent use of unnecessary extra space that you should remove to make the paper look even neater. Other aspects of the document, such as focus/purpose and content, will be improved with some improvements to the paper's organization. As the paper is written, it does not have a clear introduction. An introduction should thoroughly explain to the reader what the essay is going to be about by providing some general background information and ending with a thesis statement that tells the reader what the paper's goal is and what topics you will cover to reach that goal. The body of the paper should align with the thesis statement, and the conclusion should summarize the main points made in the body of the document and relate them to the thesis statement. When writing the content of your paper, remember that the reader has not necessarily read the poem. This may mean that you need to add extra detail to adequately communicate your thoughts and ideas about the poem and have the reader understand what you are saying. Last, you have a generally good handle on writing conventions. There are some places where grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and word choice errors need to be resolved to improve reading comprehension and cohesion. Ensure that the document goes through a round of proofreading to resolve these issues."
