Bridget's feedback:
"You've created an informative and enjoyable read about this fascinating tradition. The reader is drawn in by your hook and kept engaged with good details and a dynamic voice. Your opening is strong, placing the reader in the topic. Make sure to include an equally effective conclusion--right now, ending with directions to Tyrol feels a little abrupt. You've picked two solid sources and use quotations at logical moments. Make sure to format the quotations correctly--you've done a good job with the first quote's quotation marks. Make sure you do that for the rest of the quotes! Readers rely on the quotation marks to know when your text ends and a source's text starts. Also, I had trouble finding exactly where you used the Harrison source--if it appears in your Works Cited, it must have also appeared in your paper, cited, whether a direct quote or a summary or paraphrase. Finally, make sure to proofread. You have a strong sense of flow and sentence variety, so a proofread will catch the smaller issues (grammar, word choice). Related, when moving a (properly cited) quotation into your paper, make sure you don't bring the original formatting along with it--this was a problem with your first direct quote, which is otherwise formatted properly (though you don't need that last sentence about learning more about Santa Claus)."
