Angela's feedback:
"It is evident that you understand the short story’s content, and you do provide analysis of characters and symbols from the story. However, you don’t need to include a full summary of the narrative since your paper is supposed to analyze two elements of the short story. The essay would also benefit from a concluding paragraph that reiterates the main findings of your analysis and leaves the reader with a key takeaway message. In terms of writing conventions, you have a tendency to place commas where they’re not needed as seen in the phrases “knocking, on the” and “closet, and used.” The title of a short story should be capitalized, as should the term “Great Depression” (in reference to the historical period) and the beginning of a sentence. Commas and periods come before a closing quotation mark, but when a statement ends with a parenthetical citation, the period comes after the citation itself."
