Jenn's feedback:
"This essay is off to a good start. It is clear from your writing what the goal is and you support that goal with evidence. Your introduction is off to a good start. You could add a bit more detail to make it more clear what the goal of your essay is, such as specifically mentioning the aspects of the poems you will be comparing. There are also a significant number of grammar issues in the introduction (i.e., the unnecessary use of "the," improper word choice such as "held from" rather than "held by," and the use of "are" instead of "is"), setting a tone for the paper. These grammatical errors continue throughout the rest of the text with an addition of punctuation errors. Some of these errors lead to confusion because there are sentences lacking ending punctuation. You also inconsistently use punctuation. Sometimes you put the titles of poems in quotation marks (at times the spacing is inappropriate when this is done) and sometimes you did not. Using the quotation marks is the appropriate use of punctuation. You are lacking the use of commas after introductory phrases and appropriately documented citations. Last, the conclusion should be elaborated upon by including a detailed summary of the main points of the paper."
