I would like to check in regarding the purpose (and your prompt), as the last paragraph moves into book review territory. If your overall project is to review the book, consider dialing back the summary, keeping in mind your audience may want to read the book on their own after their interest is piqued by your review.

In terms of the summary you have on the page, keep a few things in mind. First, introduce the book's title and author right away. Second, even when summarizing straightforward plot, you can touch on themes, messages, and the book's ideas to help the reader understand the novel more fully.

Regarding the review paragraph, whether your project is more oriented toward summary or review, you will need to explain your last line more.
