"It's clear you've read the text and started the task of distilling each chapter down to its essentials. A number of the chapter summaries read as a collection of details rather than a coherent summing up. I recommend going through each and establishing the focus or themes for each in a topic sentence; make sure, as well, that each doesn't get bogged down in specific examples or random details. Being able to state the main idea and curate examples or discussion in a way that helps the reader get a clear idea of the content likewise shows your ethos and control over the text. Signal phrases like "Plunkitt explains" or "Plunkitt argues that..." will help the reader follow this.

In terms of moving forward, does a series of summaries meet your instructor's requirements/the prompt? If this will be a book report, I recommend using these summaries, including the revision discussed above, as a prewriting task that will help you organize your approach to the text.
