Jenn's feedback:
"You have provided a substantial amount of evidence to support your interpretation of the theme. Your ideas are presented in a logical and cohesive manner, which makes your essay easy to read. You have also created smooth transitions between each of your ideas. While there are not a lot of grammatical errors throughout the essay, some word choice and order errors can be found that lead to some confusion. Two examples are in the introduction alone. Rather than saying, "However, it also happens to be..." it would be better to say, "This happens to be...". Also, saying that the characters find a connection suggests to the reader that they identified, noticed, or sought out this similarity among them. It might be more appropriate to say that the characters had something in common. One common issue I noticed with your citations is that many of them are not followed by a period. Typically, the punctuation that is inside the quotation marks should follow the citation instead. You also need to cite your definition of survivor's guilt. There are a couple of places where you switch between the use of past tense and present tense words and a couple of misspelled words. These issues can be resolved through a round of proofreading. There are a number of errors in the use of MLA style conventions. The whole paper should be double-spaced including your heading and you need to include a header that has your last name and page number. Last, the essay is lacking an adequate conclusion. You should use the conclusion as an opportunity to summarize all of the main points you made in the body of the paper and reiterate the paper's goal."
