This will strengthen the argumentation and keep the focus on your analysis. Right now, there is quite a bit of repetition within and across paragraphs. I suggest reading through the essay exclusively to identify repeated information or ideas; think about how to streamline those areas. This can be within sentences (for example, in the first sentence, "in the novel Private Peaceful" is given twice) and within paragraphs (first few sentences of the Guilt paragraph). In certain places, the analysis is overwhelmed by plot summary. It's a good idea to give the reader important details and supporting quotes, but make sure the first and last word is in the analysis. For example, the Sgt. Hanley summary could probably be trimmed quite a bit down to the salient details. Otherwise, the reader might get lost trying to catch the details and miss the analytical point."
