Bob's feedback:
"You've done a good job of making the reader think about the versatility of the yo-yo. However, there are some major issues that should be cleared up before this essay is ready for submission. Make sure to cite your sources within the body text. You seem to be quoting a source throughout the document, but it is not cited within the text. Several times, you write, "it states..." without mentioning which text you are quoting. It is also unnecessary to repeat text from a quote, as is done after the quote about a yo-yo being small enough to carry in a pocket. Several paragraphs switch focus abruptly. Consider writing an outline of the points you want to discuss and then devote a paragraph to each point. Finally, consider working with an editor to address awkward sentences, unclear ideas, transitions, and grammatical issues."

Essays may be lightly modified for readability or to protect the anonymity of contributors, but we do not edit essay examples prior to publication. (And nope, we don't source our examples from our editing service! Check out our Privacy and Content Sharing policies for more information.)
