Natalie's feedback:
"Stigma surrounding mental illness continues to be a major problem in the world today, so this is a great topic to write about. You clearly have done your research and care about this issue, which is always a good foundation for writing. I think where this paper suffers, however, is that you are trying to focus on too many things at once. How mental illness affects young people, stigma surrounding mental illness, and mental health literacy are all very important topics, but it is a lot to take on in just a few pages. I highly recommend choosing one of those to focus on solely. Because you had a lot of information to cover, the paper seemed to jump abruptly from one thing to another, with too much explanation for certain things (like the biopsychosocial model) and not enough for other things (like neurotic versus psychotic disorders). Your introductory section discussed a lot of interesting background, but was a little too long. Your conclusion, on the other hand, felt too short. I think it would be great to explain your proposed solutions to this issue in more detail. There were also a few conventional errors, which were mostly punctuation mistakes, so be sure to read over your work carefully. Formatting was good for the most part, but your paragraphs were inconsistent in terms of length. You have a lot of really great content to work with, so with a little bit of editing, this could be a fantastic and informative essay!"
