While the current approach emphasizes the topic of forgiveness, using the text as supplement, I do want to check in and make sure this follows the prompt: does your teacher want a thesis about forgiveness or about Shakespeare's play? If it's the latter, brainstorm some ways to bring mention of the text into, for example, that last sentence of the first paragraph: this lets your reader know how the essay will approach the topic more specifically.

On a related note, the first two paragraphs, relative to the essay length, may be too long in arriving at the analysis of the play. Consider fusing and streamlining those ideas into a single introductory paragraph; another option might be to use the ideas from paragraph 2 within the analysis as guiding thematic points. Again, this will depend on what direction the prompt wants you to pitch the discussion.

At the level of lower-order concerns, your writing has a solid sense of flow, and you strike the appropriate tone in diction and syntax. A thorough proofread will help you catch some recurring issues, including sentence fragments (e.g., the second sentence) and related punctuation fixes.
