However, there is a lot of unnecessary information that can get the reader bogged down. You begin the essay with what feels like a very rushed summary of Johnson's career. Much of this information is irrelevant to the focus of your paper. Consider writing an introduction from scratch that tells the reader what your main focus is going to be. Think about what that focus is: Are you arguing that Johnson's domestic policies were successful despite his failures in foreign policy? Make sure your conclusion ties your supporting paragraphs together to sum up that main point, and avoid introducing new information in the conclusion. Make sure to cite the study you mention to give your argument some credibility. Pay attention to verb tense as the past and present tense are often used incorrectly."
