Crystal's feedback:
"You do a great job establishing your nuanced opinion that only college tuition, and not all the costs of attending college, should be free to anyone who wishes to pursue higher education. I also like that you ease into your response by focusing on the current angle. In various parts of the essay, you also give specific reasons that college should be free and what the benefits would be. However, your argument as a whole is not well-organized around the key points that support your position. Consider reorganizing your content around the key reasons and crafting a clear thesis statement that ends the intro highlighting those specific areas. Additionally, ending with a stronger conclusion that synthesizes your key points would improve your essay; the closing paragraph introduces a ton of new information that would be best used as support for your position. Finally, make sure to add the MLA in-text citation for the NYT article; there are also a significant number of grammar and punctuation errors. For instance, run-on sentences are especially problematic throughout your essay (e.g., the sentence that starts with "The United States has..." in the 2nd paragraph), and many of the pronouns are ambiguous (i.e., it's not clear what they're replacing, so using specific phrasing in those areas would be ideal)."
