Bob's feedback:
"Your enthusiasm comes accross well, but that is only part of what you need to achieve with an admission essay.
Your opening sentence starts off on a negative note (even though you are using it as a contrast to your own positive views). This can be quite a gamble. It would be best to reword it. Likewise, the reference to "nerds" is informal and may come across as a warning sign to the admissions office.
Work on toning down some of the negative comments throughout the essay. Even though you assign these attitudes to others, they do not paint you in the best light possible.
Since this is an admission essay, you will want to focus on what you can bring to the table. Be sure to mention some of your own accomplishments. Wanting to do well is only part of the equation; you need to show that you already have a record of success.
Be sure to proofread for some minor errors throughout the essay."
