In what subject areas are you an expert?

I have a master's in Film and Media Studies, so my deepest expertise lies in the media field. I also have expertise in academic writing, the humanities, philosophy, and critical analysis. I'm extremely well-versed in several major style guides as well. In the most general sense, I'm an expert in writing! What types of documents do you enjoy editing the most?

Answering that question is like picking a favorite child! I'm most experienced in editing college papers and am always glad to do so. Critical analyses, theses, research papers, personal statements—I've worked with them all and never get tired of them. I also enjoy editing reviews, novels, short stories, and poetry. My main areas of interest are media culture, art, and philosophy, so I'm always excited to edit writing on those subjects. I also love to work with subjects that I'm unfamiliar with—it gives me a chance to learn while I edit. I could keep going, but I'd end up listing every type of document under the sun.

What do you do when you’re not editing on Kibin?

I'm a film critic, so I spend a lot of my time watching and writing about movies. Beyond that, I'm an avid reader of philosophy—particularly existentialism—and a longtime video game enthusiast. I also love a good nap, especially with my lil' cat Millie.
